Sea Horizons
I derive inspiration from Hiroshi Sugimoto’s Seascapes series, done over several decades beginning in the 1980s. They present simplicity – water and air – that is minimalist and timeless.
Mine differ in several ways: color; verticals; focused geographically in Truro MA; focused in time to one year; not all tranquil seas; and with occasional hints of humankind. They present a range of light, color, and mood from varied time of day and weather.
